ANTENNA Group is the worlds largest Greek media group, reaching Greek-speaking audiences in all continents. For two decades the Group has been the leader in its field, constantly expanding its activities and successfully implementing new ambitious projects in the broader area of communications.

It all began in 1988, when Minos X. Kyriakou, President of ANTENNA Group, established the radio station ANT1 FM 97,2 in Athens. From the very first year of its broadcast, it became one of the favourite radio stations among all audiences.

The success of ANT1 FM led to the next big step: ANT1 Television, the Groups corporate and communicative flagship, was founded the following year. ANT1 TV has been holding one of the leading places on viewers ratings scales for 20 years. ΑΝΤ1 ΤV has evolved into an innovative channel reflecting the views of modern Greeks and offering high quality entertainment and information with a powerful stand, directness and consistency.

ANTENNA Group has expanded beyond the Greek borders and has been established as the Greek radio and television station of three continents. With the creation of ANT1 SATELLITE, ANT1 PACIFIC and ANT1 EUROPE, the voice and images of Greece, as well as the pulse of Greek societys everyday life are transmitted to USA, Australia and Europe via the largest satellite and cable networks, covering the communicational needs of all Greeks living abroad. In addition, ANTENNA Group has launched two more channels in the U.S.A: ANT1 GOLD, a channel that daily broadcasts all-time favourite Greek shows and series, and BLUE, a music Channel dedicated to Greek music. Both have been met with great success among Greek audiences.

The Groups next major aim was to establish a successful presence in the Balkans. ANTENNA Group entered the Bulgarian market in 2000 with the acquisition of TV station NOVA TELEVISIA based in Sofia, a company that soon evolved into one of Southern Europes fastest growing broadcasters. Proving their great capacity to develop media assets, the Groups Management successfully completed the sale of NOVA TELEVIZIA to Modern Times Group in 2008 for 628.000.000 euros. This transaction was reported as one of the highest returns on investment in the media industry.

The next significant international share transaction made by the Antenna Group was its recent agreement with News Corporation over the transfer of a major shareholding in FOX TELEVIZIJA, a leading commercial free to air broadcaster in Serbia. Under the terms of the transfer, Antenna Group will take control of the 49 per cent holding detained by News Corporation in FOX TELEVIZIJA.

Furthermore, ANT1 FM 97,5 radio station based in Salonika has been offering quality entertainment and free expression about issues regarding Northern Greece and the Balkan area in general since 1988.

ANTENNA Groups presence is also marked in Cyprus, through its collaboration with the successful stations ANT1 TV CYPRUS and ANT1 FM CYPRUS in Nicosia, founded in 1993 and 1998 respectively.

ANTENNA Group has also established itself in the field of new technology services and content. Always on the cutting edge side of technology, ANTENNA Group launched for the first time in Greece a Live Streaming and Video On Demand WebTV channel through its new media & technology division ANT1 INTERNET. The division also provides exclusively produced WebTV series, "123play.gr", the easiest and fastest music download service, along with 123playgames.gr, the biggest multimedia online web gaming portal. Furthermore, brandGalaxy.gr offers to its members unique life-style offers of top brands.

ANTENNA Group also provides telecommunication services through its company AUDIOTEX, which has become a pioneer in the field of mobile services.

Along with the electronic media, the Group has also secured a highly successful presence in the printed media through its publishing house DAPHNE COMMUNICATIONS S.A. and the printing company NIKI PUBLISHING. DAPHNEs magazines are very popular and are steadily increasing their circulation and attracting new readers.

In the music field, the Groups record company HEAVEN MUSIC, established in 2001, is one of the largest music companies in Greece with some of the top recording artists among its ranks. Heaven has succeeded by cutting across the boundaries of a typical music company and combining the power of a large multinational group with the flexibility of an independent label. Heaven is committed to representing and developing artists across all creative and business opportunities with an emphasis on new artists development.

ANTENNA Groups activities also include the nurturing of future media personalities. Since 1991, the ANTENNA SCHOOL OF MEDIA has been developing the skills required in the growing Greek broadcast industry. This successful endeavor has garnered recognition for its contribution to national media education. The graduates of the ANTENNA SCHOOL OF MEDIA become successful professionals, as they are absorbed into the Groups companies and other media outlets in Greece and Cyprus. At the same time, FAME STUDIO, the only school of vocal techniques, lyric writing, music production and DJs in Greece, paved new ways for those dreaming to make a career in the music field.

We should also underline the success and expansion of the companies ANTEL and EPIKINONIA. ANTEL provides wireless transmission services of digital data. It especially provides full wireless stock services in real time and sports data via the ANT1 teletext signal, while it has also developed the sports news site betonet.com. EPIKINONIA is the main provider of news and other content to dozens of radio stations in the periphery.

However, the accomplishments of ANTENNA Group have not yet reached their peak. Its Managements vision is to strengthen the Groups position as the worlds leading Greek media and entertainment group.
